NOVA IMS has announced the winners of the 11th edition of APPLICA-TE, the ideas competition that challenges students from grades 7 to 12 to develop innovative solutions using data and Artificial Intelligence. The final took place on June 2, with pre-selected teams presenting their projects to the jury.

Under the theme "Data Visionaries: Build the Future with Data," participants were challenged to design an application using data and AI to address one of today's major societal challenges, aligned with one of the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The initiative aims to foster entrepreneurship and innovation among young people, and featured a jury composed of Miguel de Castro Neto, Dean of NOVA IMS; Pedro Teixeira, Co-founder and CEO of Happy Code; Sara Ribeiro, Deputy Director for Education; and Henrique França, President of Junior Data Consulting.

Prizes were awarded to the top three teams in each category, to the schools of the winning teams, and an Exceptional Merit award was also presented.
