The Naval Academy has been working in underwater acoustics since 1990. In these years many developments have taken place: a number of thesis have been made in this area, we have built a small tank for tests, and

the Portuguese science foundation (FCT) supported a research project (POCI/MAR/61190/2004) in this area.
