Biografia

Hugo Costa desempenha funções na Direção-Geral do Território (DGT). Tem um doutoramento em Ciência da Informação Geográfica pela Universidade de Nottingham, no Reino Unido. A sua principal área de pesquisa é o sensoriamento remoto, com ênfase na classificação de imagens para mapeamento do uso do solo, juntamente com modelagem ecológica. É autor principal de mais de 10 publicações revisadas por pares, incluindo artigos em revistas científicas, atas de conferências internacionais e uma seção de livro.
