On March 1st, NOVA IMS organized an Award Ceremony meant to celebrate the Best Projects of the Business Intelligence Curricular Unit, which is a Curricular Unit integrated in the Master's Program in Data Science and Advanced Analytics, with a specialization in Business Analytics. The event was followed by a cocktail which provided the perfect chance to further discuss the successful projects and network!
On March 2nd, NOVA IMS hosted the presentation of the book “Lectures on Intelligent Systems” by NOVA IMS' Professor Leonardo Vanneschi, and Sara Silva. The presentation took place at the Noble Hall in Colégio Almada Negreiros, and in addition to the authors, the session was attended by Ernesto Costa, Full Professor of the Department of Computer Engineering of the University of Coimbra, and Illya Bakurov, Professor at NOVA IMS, to discuss the relevance of the subject matter of the book and the expertise of the authors.
On March 7th, the Students Union of NOVA IMS organized a "Pizza Night" event, in partnership with the NOVA Innovation & Analytics Lab. The event provided a great chance to visit one of the laboratories dedicated to the development of research projects at NOVA IMS, as well as an opportunity to network whilst enjoying a slice of pizza.
On March 16th and 17th, the Rectory of NOVA University of Lisbon, received the first edition of the "Data with Purpose Summit", organized by NOVA IMS with the collaboration of Jornal Expresso as a media partner.
This innovative event featured keynote speakers, panel discussions and interactive sessions with experts and industry leaders in data-driven decision-making.
Throughout the first day of the Summit, several experts from different fields gathered to discuss the impact of data on management decision making, talent attraction, or the implementation of new tools linked to artificial intelligence. These discussions were divided into 6 panels, namely:
The second day consisted of an executive breakfast along with a networking session where all the NOVA IMS Laboratories introduced their work and main projects. Later on, the participants had a chance to visit the different Labs.

On March 20th, and as part of the 8th edition of the Post-Graduation in Digital Enterprise Management, NOVA IMS welcomed Gabriel Coimbra, IDP Group Vice President and Country Manager, for an open class on the latest trends in the Enterprise Applications market and their impact on Digital Transformation. The open class was an integral part of the new module on Digital Transformation Methodologies, and participants had the opportunity to learn from one of the leading global providers of market intelligence in ICT.
Between the 22nd and the 25th of March, NOVA IMS marked its presence at Futurália, the largest national fair for education, training, and employment! The fair presents as the perfect chance to learn more about what it is like to study at NOVA IMS, as well as to get to know the courses available!
On March 22nd, NOVA IMS partnered with Webasto to organize a networking session for NOVA IMS students. During the session, attendees had the opportunity to learn more about Webasto's history from its top executives and deepen their knowledge with the IT development and applications teams. At the end of the event, participants enjoyed a brunch while networking with Webasto Portugal's Human Resources team, creating opportunities for future professional development.
Throughout the month of March several sessions of the Information Systems Seminars have been held, each counting with the presence of an renowned IT Company.
These sessions are integrated in a Curricular Unit of the bachelor's program in Information Systems, but are open to students of all cycles and to the public in general.
