Event Wrap Up

On May 4th, at 4 p.m., the INE Auditorium hosted an exciting open lecture on digital transformation. The event brought together two expert professors in the field of digital transformation from the University of Waterloo in Canada for a lecture on "The Rhetoric of Big Data".

The lecture was open to the entire community and did not require registration.

Associate Professor Ashley Rose Mehlenbacher

Ashley Rose Mehlenbacher is Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair in Science, Health, and Technology Communication at the University of Waterloo. Her research investigates how rhetorical choices shape the internal processes of science, science bridging internal and public conversations, and public communication of science. Author of Science Communication Online: Engaging Experts and Publics on the Internet (OSU Press, 2019), and coeditor, with Carolyn R. Miller, of Emerging Genres in New Media Environments (Palgrave, 2017). 

Professor Brad Mehlenbacher

Brad Mehlenbacher is Professor of Rhetoric and Communication at the University of Waterloo, and PhD in Rhetoric, Carnegie Mellon University. His research focuses on communication and learning in technical, scientific, and engineering contexts. He is author of the award-winning Instruction and Technology: Designs for Everyday Learning (MIT Press, 2010).
