Smart Territories Training Program for Public Administration

The Smart Territories Training Program aims to empower decision-makers, managers, and technicians in Local and Central Administration to achieve the digital transformation envisioned in the National Smart Territories Strategy (ENTI), leveraging the most advanced strategies and tools for efficient and sustainable territorial management.

The program consists of four modules with independent certification, each forming distinct training paths tailored to different target audiences.

This pioneering and innovative training in Public Administration is a result of a partnership between NOVA IMS, INA, and AMA.

Who is it for?

This training program is designed for various actors in Public Administration, namely:

  • Decision-makers and senior managers of local administration
  • Technicians of local administration
  • Managers of central administration
  • Technicians of central administration

Objectives

The program provides the necessary tools to:

  • Develop smarter and more sustainable territories.
  • Improve efficiency in the management of services and infrastructure.
  • Implement a new model for planning and public policies, with data-driven decisions.

Participants will gain skills to collect, analyze, and use data to support the creation of more effective and fact-based public policies.

Program

The program consists of four training paths tailored to different audiences: decision-makers and senior managers of local administration, managers and technicians of local administration, managers of central administration, and technicians of central administration, as well as other interested parties. Each path is modular.


Decision-makers and Senior Managers of Local Administration

Calendar

This training program lasts five months, starting in October 2024. The modules are delivered through a learning platform that combines asynchronous and synchronous training, following the schedule below:

  • Module 1: Starts on October 29 and lasts three weeks
  • Module 2: Starts on November 18 and lasts nine weeks
  • Module 3: Starts on January 20 and lasts four weeks
  • Module 4: Starts on February 17 and lasts six weeks
