Anna S. Mattila explores what makes a service experience truly resonate — from healthy eating and AI to emotional responses and cultural differences. She is the Marriott Professor of Lodging Management at Penn State University and holds a PhD in Services Marketing from Cornell University.
Her work has been widely published in top-tier journals in marketing, tourism, and consumer psychology. She served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Research for five years and is currently Associate Editor at both the Journal of Sustainable Tourism and the Annals of Tourism.
