Graduation Ceremony 2024

On November 29th, NOVA IMS will host one of its most important events: the Graduation and Awards Ceremony for the 2023/2024 academic year.

This ceremony aims to honor the graduating and award-winning students, as well as the faculty members who stood out during the past academic year.

The ceremony will take place at the Lisbon Congress Centre, starting at 6:00 PM.

04:30 PM: Opening of Check-in
06:00 PM: Opening Ceremony with Academic Procession and Performance by the NOVA University Lisbon Choir
06:10 PM: Speech by the Rector of the NOVA University of Lisbon | João Sáàgua
06:20PM: Speech by the President of the NOVA IMS Alumni | Ivo Bernardo
06:25 PM: Speech by the President of the NOVA IMS Students Union| Marco Martins

If you plan to drive to the Lisbon Congress Center, we recommend planning your journey in advance as parking options are limited:

The Praça das Indústrias car park (view location) is the nearest option, but it is paid and has limited capacity.
You can also use the paid parking facilities at the Hyatt Regency Lisbon (view location) and Vila Galé Opera (view location) hotels.
Alternatively, there is the Avenida de Brasília Parking Lot (view location) by the river. From there, you can cross the pedestrian bridge over Avenida da Índia and the railway line.

Please note: The underground parking lot at Junqueira is not a suitable option, as it closes at 8:00 PM, before the ceremony ends.

If you prefer to use public transportation:

Train: The nearest station is Alcântara-Mar, located approximately 15-20 minutes on foot.
Buses: Several Carris bus lines stop near the CCL (e.g., 714, 727, 728, 732, 751, etc.). The closest stop is “R. Junqueira (Centro de Congressos)”. Check this website to find the most suitable route for you.
