The City Council wants to implement a digital shopping district in the city to "recover the economic and social activity around the Monastery" in a project called "Bairro dos Monges". The initiative was presented last week at the Municipal Library by the Alcobaça City Council, the Commercial Association of Services and Industry of Alcobaça and the Leiria Region, and NOVA IMS.
