On September 20^th, the NOVA University of Lisbon's Rectory hosted a ceremony to award Sports Merit Scholarships to student-athletes, with the aim of recognizing and promoting university sports in parallel with academic achievement.

Of the honored students who have achieved excellent results, both nationally and internationally, wearing the jersey of their institution, we would like to highlight the 3 winners representing NOVA IMS: José Fernandes, and Guilherme Castel-Branco, both outstanding in Volleyball; and João Chang, outstanding in Badminton.

This event was attended by our Dean Miguel de Castro Neto, together with representatives from other schools of UNL, and ended with a special thanks to the SASNOVA Physical Activity and Sports Office for the work they developed with student athletes throughout the 2022/2023 academic year.

We congratulate all the athletes and wish them an excellent academic and sporting year.
