On April 20^th, a competition was held where 18 teams, from a total of 11 international universities, participated in a management game developed by HEC Montreal University. The NOVA IMS team finished in 3^rd place in the competition! 

Using the ERPsim simulator, the game simulates the management of a company that produces and sells cereal flakes, with the objective of maximizing profits in competition with other teams. The game, which runs on SAP S/4HANA software, takes place in 4 rounds of 20 days each, with each day corresponding to one minute in the competition. The teams were composed of 3 to 5 elements, each taking on a position (in Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Production, or Financial Management).

The NOVA IMS team, composed by the students Ana Carolina Silva, Anabela Florêncio, Beatriz Custódio, Bruno Santos and Marco Galão, won the 3^rd place whilst competing against teams from universities that already use ERPsim regularly in their bachelor and master programs. As a result of the position obtained, the NOVA IMS team will now compete at the global level on June 8^th!

The day before, the same team participated in a similar event, organized by SAP in Oeiras, with other Universities and companies that are clients of @SAP (members of @GUSP - SAP Users Group in Portugal). In this event, each IMS student played in different teams, proving their ability to collaborate and learn from other participants.
