On May 25^th, Jornal de Negócios and the Portuguese Association of Investment Funds, Pensions and Property (APFIPP) teamed up once more to award the prestigious “Melhores Fundos” Awards, in its 9^th edition.

The award ceremony recognized the securities investment funds, real estate investment funds and open pension funds that stood out in 2022 on the basis of profitability metrics and according to the associated risk over the last three years.

The event was attended by renowned experts and professionals from the financial sector, who were recognized in several categories. One of the distinctions was the "Personality of the Year" award, which was attributed to Jorge Bravo, Professor at NOVA IMS in the area of Finance & Economics, together with Paulo Câmara and Miguel Leónidas Rocha, for their work and significant contribution to the sector.

The Professor expressed his gratitude and happiness upon receiving this distinction, in statements made in his social media: "I humbly thank this distinction and recognition, interpreting it as an incentive to the continuation of all the work developed in the last decades in favor of financial education and literacy and in the defense of the construction of a fairer, more adequate, sustainable and transparent pension system."
