Samira Nogueira, former student of the Master in Statistics and Information Management at NOVA IMS, was away from her family, in 2020, when she had a panic crisis during the pandemic. Having to deal with the issue alone, she started looking for therapies that could help her overcome the problem. This is how the idea of creating Daya came about, a startup founded in 2021 with the goal of combating burnout in women.

"We know that the burnout rate is 25% higher in women in comparison to men. This happens both because of the way we are raised, with the idea that we need to take care of everything, as well as because of hormonal influence," says the entrepreneur, reinforcing the importance of this theme.

"Daya" means compassion, and this is one of the main values of the brand, which launched a successful app that promotes the well-being of female users. Through a friendly and playful interface, the app provides personalized recommendations based on each user's preferences, needs and challenges, making the experience engaging and motivating. By combining psychological techniques, educational and interactive resources, Daya aims to teach and empower women to take control of their well-being to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Last April, the startup was present at Web Summit Rio, in Brazil, one of the largest technology conferences, further validating the importance and potential of this project.

Through her inspiring story of resilience and innovation, Samira Nogueira hopes to change the lives of several women worldwide, encouraging them to always prioritize self-care and their well-being, thus promoting happier and healthier lives.
