Your journey at NOVA IMS starts now!

Mark February 12th and 13th on your calendar!

We invite you to take part in a series of activities designed to welcome our new international students. Over two days, we will host several initiatives to ensure a smooth and successful integration into our academic community.

 

  • The program kicks off on February 12th at 5:00 p.m. with an information session specifically for international students. Following this, you are invited to the Welcome Session 2025, a ceremony that brings together all students, both national and international, as they prepare to start their academic journey at NOVA IMS. This session, held at the Rectory of Universidade Nova de Lisboa, will introduce you to our community and provide key information to guide you through your academic path. After the main session, you will have a short meeting with your Program Coordinator and classmates, followed by a cocktail reception.
  • On the following day, February 13th, we invite you to join the Welcome Tour – a walking tour to explore the city of Lisbon and discover some of its most iconic landmarks.

This is your first step into the NOVA IMS experience!

Program

February 12th: Welcome Day Session 2025

  • 4.15 p.m. – Check-in opens
  • 5:00 p.m. – Information Session for International Students (Auditorium A120)
  • 6:30 p.m. – Welcome Session (Rectory of Universidade Nova de Lisboa)
    • Opening remarks | Director of NOVA IMS, Miguel de Castro Neto
    • Alumni Talks | Panel moderated by the President of the NOVA IMS Alumni Association, Ivo Bernardo
    • Introduction to NOVA IMS Services | Panel moderated by the Head of the Student Support Office, Sara Ribeiro.
  • 7:40 p.m. – Parallel Sessions
  • 8:15 p.m. – Cocktail Reception

 

February 13th: Welcome Tour in Lisbon

Join us for a walking tour to explore Lisbon together! Starting from NOVA IMS, we will visit 11 iconic landmarks across the city, with opportunities to taste some of Portugal’s most traditional delicacies along the way. This event is free of charge, but registration is required to participate (please fill the form below).

  • Meeting Point: Auditorium A120, Almada Negreiros College, NOVA IMS
  • Time: 2.30 PM

The Welcome Day Session 2025 (February 12th) will be host at NOVA IMS, in Campus de Campolide.

The Welcome Tour (February 13th) will start at NOVA IMS and finish at Terreiro do Paço.
