NOVA IMS expands its international footprint with new mobility agreements in Asia
Detalhe da Notícia
NOVA Information Management School (NOVA IMS) has signed two new international mobility agreements with universities in South Korea and Japan, further expanding its global academic network. The new partnerships strengthen the school’s internationalization strategy and reflect a clear focus on regions where data science and information management play a central role in economic and technological development.
One of the agreements was signed with the University of Seoul, a leading public university in South Korea, known for its applied research in data science, technology and urban management, as well as for its strong connection to public policy. Signed on 23 October 2025, the agreement provides for the mobility of two students per semester and one faculty or staff member per semester.
The second partnership was formalized on 9 December 2025 with the Nagoya University of Commerce and Business, in Japan. The institution is part of a small and highly selective group of business schools worldwide holding the Triple Crown Accreditation, which combines AACSB (United States), EQUIS (Europe) and AMBA (United Kingdom) accreditations. This recognition reflects high standards in academic quality, research and engagement with industry. Under this agreement, three students per semester and one faculty or staff member per semester will be eligible for mobility.
International mobility as a strategic priority
These new agreements are part of a broader internationalization strategy at NOVA IMS, aimed at strengthening its presence in new geographies, with a particular focus on Asia - a region marked by strong momentum in data, technology, business and public services.
For the NOVA IMS academic community, the partnerships open up new opportunities to study, teach and work abroad, enabling contact with different approaches to data, technological innovation and the ways universities and societies address complex challenges.
Mobility under the new agreements with South Korea and Japan will be available from the 2026/2027 academic year.
NOVA IMS currently maintains mobility agreements with universities in 24 countries, with agreements in 21 of those countries established under the Erasmus+ Program.
Applications for NOVA IMS mobility programs are expected to open in February 2026, with further details on the application period to be announced shortly.
