Peter Coughlan

Peter Coughlan has worked in the field of innovation for three decades on projects ranging from automobile design to telephone interfaces to complex adaptive systems.

He recently formed Hasten Ventures to address one of humanity’s greatest challenges—climate change. At Hasten, he supports entrepreneurs and organizations seeking to implement projects that sequester CO2 and increase biodiversity.

Prior to Hasten, Peter was a senior partner at the global design firm IDEO, where he led the founded the organizational transformation practice.

Peter has a Ph.D in Applied Linguistics from UCLA, and is currently completing an MFA in Creative Writing.
