AD NOVA IMS plays a crucial role in the strategy of NOVA IMS, by promoting the connection between the academic and the professional world of statisticians and information managers. It also contributes to the establishment of criteria of excellence that rules the NOVA IMS academic activities. The support that AD NOVA IMS provides to NOVA IMS is an agreement between the association and the Rectorate of Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

AD NOVA IMS
The Association for the Development of NOVA IMS – AD NOVA IMS is a nonprofit institution, holding the statute of public legal entity. It was founded in October, 1990. At the moment consists in a group of nine partners, in both public and private sector, and its main goal consists in supporting the activities of NOVA IMS.
Projects
AD NOVA IMS is the development center of NOVA IMS, leading projects in the production, dissemination, and use of statistical information, particularly in Multimedia Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems, Market Research and Surveys, and Finance and Actuarial Science.
