NOVA Geoinformatics and Analytics Lab

The Geoinformatics Analytics Lab, with more than 25 years of experience, was founded with the initial purpose of being a technological infrastructure to support the scientific research activity of NOVA IMS.

Currently, with a multidisciplinary team and transversal skills, from distinct areas such as geography, urbanism, geographic information science and systems, environmental engineering, computer science, programming, and design, it is also equipped with specific hardware and software solutions for the respective fields of activity.

Since its foundation, it has participated in more than 100 research and/or cooperation projects with the business and public sectors.

Mission

Our goal is to address innovation challenges within Geospatial Data Science, blending Geographic Information Technology and science, programming, and human interaction to craft actionable solutions that enhance institutional efficiency.
