Biography

Hugo Costa works at Direção-Geral do Território (DGT). He holds a Ph.D. degree in Geographical Information Science (University of Nottingham, UK). His main research area is remote sensing, in particular image classification for land cover mapping, along with ecological modelling. He is the first author of >10 peer-reviewed publications, including articles in scientific journals, international conference proceedings, and one book section.
