The NOVA IMS Alumni Mentoring Program is an initiative from our Alumni community, designed to support students in their transition to the job market, especially in the Data field. Through this program, participants have the opportunity to be guided by experienced mentors, former NOVA IMS students, who share knowledge and provide practical advice to help boost their careers.

Why join this mentoring program?

How does it work?
- Each participant is matched with a mentor whose experience aligns with their career goals;
- At least one meeting per month to discuss challenges, goals, and opportunities.
- Sessions can be in person or online, offering flexibility for Erasmus students or those outside Lisbon;
- Informal networking opportunities may arise throughout the program.
Who can apply?
This program is designed for students looking for career guidance in information management and data-related fields, including:
- 3rd year undergraduate students
- Postgraduate students
- Master’s students

Calendar
- Duration of 3 months (from April to July);
- Kick-off Session (April 8): Program introduction, mentoring best practices, and first mentor-mentee meeting;
- Closing Session (date to be confirm): Reflection on the experience, key takeaways, and final networking event.
Kick-off Session

Location: INE Auditorium
The Kick-off Session of the NOVA IMS Alumni Mentoring Program marks the beginning of a new edition of this initiative led by the NOVA IMS Alumni community. The event will bring together mentors and mentees to present the program’s objectives, encourage initial networking, and explain how the mentoring journey will take place over the following three months.
Program:
- 6:30 PM – Reception
- 6:45 PM – Meetup begins
- 7:45 PM – Q&A
The session will end around 8:00 PM, followed by a catering and informal networking moment.
