Finding a room in Lisbon feels like an almost impossible mission for many students. High rents and limited affordable options make this challenge even harder. That’s exactly why the "Rede 1/4" was created.
Developed by NOVA University Lisbon, this initiative aims to connect those with available rooms to students looking for a place to live and study. With a digital platform (currently under development) and a reliable network of partners, the 1/4 Network encourages families and individuals to host students in their homes or other spaces, offering affordable rental options or even rent-free agreements (comodato), creating benefits for everyone involved.
The "Rede 1/4" goes even further by motivating institutions and property owners to list rooms that are suitable for students, helping to expand the availability of affordable housing options.
