11^th edition of the NOVA IMS Challenge - APPLICA-TE 2026!

APPLICA-TE is an ideas competition organized by NOVA IMS, which challenges students from 7^th to 12^th grade to solve problems with innovative ideas.

Under the motto “Data Visionaries: Build the Future with Data”, the 11^th edition of APPLICA-TE challenges participants to create and describe an application that uses data and Artificial Intelligence to address one of society’s major challenges, contributing to the achievement of one of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This initiative aims to promote sustainable development, encourage young people's entrepreneurial spirit, and foster innovation.

The APPLICA-TE final, where all the shortlisted teams presented their ideas to the jury, took place on June 2^nd.

Prizes were awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each category, as well as to the two schools of the winning teams, plus an exceptional merit award to a female team with an outstanding project.
