Data Spaces for Better Destinations

On April 22, 2026, NOVA IMS will host the event “Data Spaces for Better Destinations” at the Rectorate of NOVA University Lisbon, an initiative focused on the strategic role of Data Spaces and the use of data in the tourism sector.

The event will bring together representatives from European institutions, companies, academia, and sector organizations, with the aim of discussing solutions that contribute to more competitive, sustainable, and resilient destinations. During the event, participants will explore the concept of Data Spaces, the European Union’s commitment to secure and interoperable data-sharing models, and the impact of the European Tourism Data Space on the future of the sector.

This initiative is part of the DEPLOYTOUR project, co-funded by the Digital Europe Programme, and TIA – Tourism International Academy, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP). The event will also provide an opportunity to present the latest advances in innovation and digital transformation in tourism, as well as the development of cutting-edge educational offerings aligned with new skills and market trends.
