Beatriz Azevedo Monteiro is a Master's student in Data Science and Advanced Analytics with a specialization in Business Analytics at NOVA IMS, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto. Her main area of interest is the application of statistical and machine learning models to real-world problems, with a focus on data analysis, forecasting, segmentation, and causal inference. She has taken part in several academic projects, including sales forecasting at SIEMENS, customer segmentation in the hospitality sector and in a fictitious food delivery company using clustering techniques, and compensation benefit analysis using machine learning models. As a former member of the AEFCUP Students’ Association, she helped organize scientific congresses, workshops, and job fairs. She is also a Magma ambassador and used to tutor high school students in mathematics. She also represented Portugal as a federated Kung-Fu athlete.
