Biography

Ana Tavares holds a Master’s in Intelligence and Security from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom. She began her career in Public Administration in 1998, holding positions at the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture, and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. She joined the Portuguese Security Intelligence Service (SIS) in 2009, where she pursued a career as an intelligence analyst. Since 2017, she has represented SIS in international cooperation forums on counterterrorism. She is currently an advisor to the EU Counter-Terrorism Coordinator (EU CTC), working in Brussels.
